Menstrual abnormalities may occur from puberty
through menopause. This would include skipping cycles, too frequent of cycles,
longer and heavier cycles, painful cycles, and the emotional and mental aberrations
associated with each cycle. Menopause is the time when the ovaries cease to
function and there is little to no hormone production. Until that actually
happens a woman may go through a period of erratic ovarian function that may
cause numerous symptoms.
There are hormonal and non-hormonal therapies available
to help a woman through any of these times in her life. We at Creekside Women's Care feel that one of the most important qualities a health care professional
can have is the art of listening, so we can better understand the significance
of what the patient is experiencing.
